as for the Vista engine part... I just replied what vista people said and there´s more truth in taht compared w/ this stoopid excuse Core/Eidos made. I just borrowed a book about level design (well, more about the people behind it..). Some interesting statement from Rick Goodman (Age of Empires);
"Just conceal it - they won´t recognize it." is one of the most bad errors designers and programmers can make....
Well, he´s so right. Simply everyone knows about the corner bug and there´s kind of competition around to find the major bugs in TR engine ;-)
The same w/ this 'it won´t match peoples skills/machines' shit.
And, oh yes, I remembered a relly good Duke level whith wit and awful different looks and surprises. This one was even better than every single original level. This cannot be done by everyone and needs much practice.
