To simulate CD-ROM i used 0cd.com which accompanied earlier version of
NR package ( 0cd.com can be found by search engine ).
But tomb.exe ( simpler than later TRPlayers ) seems not to be checking if
the files are really on CD-ROM, but if the drive is read-only nor not.
Experimenting on running TR on MO drive verified this.
0cd.com works OK on linux dosemu TR which resides on the second vertual
DOS disk. I'll test and report if you can do withoug 0cd.com by chmod
dosemu hdimg readonly.
Turbo Pascal's TREditor has changed TRE file format, I read. Have you
checked the version?
