Unfortunately, ATI's OpenGL support has never been that good. I have owned
many ATI cards (Ultra, Graphics Pro Turbo, Rage 2c, Rage Pro, Rage Fury), and
while each of these cards has some strong points, 3D in general (and OpenGL in
particular) is not among them. Unfortunately for you, the Rage 2 is somewhat
of an orphan. Have you tried GLdirect yet? On some of the ATI cards I just
mentioned, it made a world of difference. I seriously doubt that you'll get
any support from ATI, given the Rage 2's vintage...

P.S. I've tested this on a number of systems, and I feel that any crashes are
related to the OpenGL implementation. There is no need to post all of
the registers and stack dump information; there is little I can do with
it.
