From Neil Colvin (modeler-support@rwmodeler.com): Vertex Editing now works properly. In Vertext Editing, Ctrl-Left Click on a selected vertex will deselect that vertext. In Vertex Editing, the handles that show are the top most (given whatever view you are in). If two handles are co-resident on the screen, you must use a different view to select the lower one. In Vertex Editing, all handles are now properly displayed. In Pointer Tool, joint editing is now supported. If an object has a joint (that is, is a child of some other object), than the tool progression is Scale, Rotate/Shear, Rotate Joint, as you click the object. In Rotate Joint, you will only see rotation handles, and a doughnut showing the location of the joint. Rotate the joint by grabbing a handle. Works great on my test avatars. Coming (soon). You will note that each view now has an additional menu item: AutoView. When set (it will be stored in the registry), then any object loaded into that view (from a file) will be automatically zoomed and centered to fill the view. Turning it off and on again will cause the automatic zooming and centering of whatever is in the view, no matter what its source. This only will affect the view, not the object. (May make Ctrl-A do it also.) Coming (later). A new polygon editing tool. Delete and add polygons and vertices. Coming (soon). A new Save As option which will canonicalize the RWX file - make all transforms identity, and transform all vertices (and normals) accordingly. This will eliminate a lot of junk in the RWX files. Fixes in the [RenderWare] MR3 release already eliminated a lot of duplicate materials in the RWX file. AutoView works - typing 'a' at any time a View is active will AutoView the view, without changing autoview settings. If AutoView is set for a view, then the view will be AutoView'd when a new model is loaded, when the main window is resized, when the tool bar is minimized/restored, and when the view configuration is changed. AutoView will not happen while the model is simply being edited. AutoView will not work on Camera views. AutoView settings are saved as part of the view configuration. Modeler can now be associated with .rwx (Open function only). DDE and OLE will be coming later.
