: Hi,

: I've just been useing Turbos Level Ed. It's not exactly the most user friendly interface. I know that realtime true 3D interfaces would be very hard to immplement. But at present, it's quite tricky to get your head around the strange system.

Indeed. Sorry but I'm specialized in GUI and...well....

Maybe one of us could write just he interface as a wrapper for T's code?

: How about an Isometric display system that displays both left-right and front-back views on one screen. This would be in my view an ideal solution to the interface difficulties, yet without the need for the type of interface used in RView.

: By isometric, i mean a kind of fixed 3D view without perspective. To edit blocks at the back of a room, you could just rotate it 90 degrees. I dont think it would be two hard to implement, as I would still use a fixed gui interface like the views that we have already.

: Just a thought!

It might speed the drawing process and divorce us of the OpenGl/DirectX# complexities. Still lots of work to be done.
